Audio sample:

Description of this audio talk: In 2016 Keith "Skip" McNeil released an e-book of over 1,500 pages, A Story Untold: The History of the Quimby-Eddy Debate. That is scheduled to be released as a printed book later this year. It not only discusses the history of P. P. Quimby and Mrs. Eddy's connection with him during the years 1862-1865, but it also provides a wealth of previously unknown information on the life of Mrs. Eddy and the early history of the Christian Science movement and the mental healing movement of the nineteenth century in general.

Keith McNeil has researched the history of Mary Baker Eddy and Christian Science since the 1970s. His early interest in the history of the Christian Science movement evolved into a broadened search of the history of mental healing in America, including New Thought.

McNeil is the owner of major collections of documents, letters and memorabilia from historical figures in the movement and continues to add to his collection.

This examination of the relationship, personal and through their writings, of the mental healer Phineas Quimby and Mary Baker Eddy and its broader background in the phenomenon of mental healing in the nineteenth century is the result of a lifetime of focus and study for McNeil.

Keith McNeil is a lifelong Christian Scientist and graduate of Principia College in 1977.
