Description: In this ten-week course, we explore the question of how to live the life of Christ, more in our own lives. Mary Baker Eddy, following closely the teaching and example of Christ Jesus, and healing in accord with his command, has given us the textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, whose “key” unlocks the spiritual meaning of the Scriptures, and the Science behind the life of Christ Jesus.

Our goal is to live as Jesus lived as closely as possible since he said to follow his example. In the King James Bible and The Complete Gospels, we will study portions that illumine his life-example and watchfully bring our own lives more into accord with his. We will also study portions of Science and Health and other writings by Mary Baker Eddy, as well as the second edition expanded edition of We Knew Mary Baker Eddy, in the endeavor to clearly see her example as a follower of the Master, as her pure living of the Christ and teaching of divine Science bring further gift of exemplification.

Patti May Cangiano-Parsons, CS, PhD - After over 20 years of practice as a Journal-listed Christian Science practitioner, and ten years on the Board of Lectureship, Patti May has continued in her practice of Christian Science healing and active participation in church as First Reader, currently residing in south Florida. Patti May earned a Masters’ Degree from East Carolina University in Multicultural-Transnational Literature, followed by a Ph.D. in Divinity from Atlantic Coast Seminary with a focus on the narratology of the Scriptures, concluding with a dissertation based on the allusions found in the book of Revelation, their spiritual import, and practicality today. Her 4.0 GPA in both her Masters’ and Doctorate demonstrate the presence and effective manifestation of divine Mind in individual experience. Mary Baker Eddy writes, “Academics of the right sort are requisite.” (Science and Health, p. 577)
